Michael Parker

Michael Parker

Became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1977. Commenced employment with Jacoby Cameron & Co. in 1984, having previously been employed as an audit manager at Hungerfords KMG (Now a part of KPMG). In July 1986, accepted an invitation to become a partner of the firm. Since that time has been involved with

many of the firm's audits as well as the introduction of new taxes such as CGT, FBT, GST and changes to Superannuation legislation.

With his three children now with families of their own there is more time to devote to both competitive and pleasure sailing.

 
Martin White

Martin White

Martin joined Jacoby Cameron & Co as an undergraduate in 1998 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2001. Since that time Martin has been involved with the Institute of Chartered Accountants post-graduate Chartered Accountants program as a workshop leader, exam paper author, technical adviser and marker.


Martin is also a Certified Financial Planner (widely regarded as the premier qualification for Financial Planner in Australia) and an Authorised Representative of Count Financial Limited. Martin became a partner on 1 July 2007. Whilst Martin has experience across such diverse areas as accounting, audit and tax he is also responsible for our financial planning division.

Martin’s interests outside of work include swimming, water polo, sail boarding and sport in general. Each November Martin sports a ‘Mo for Movember.

 

Grant Thomson

Grant Thomson

Commenced employment as an accountant in 1984 with Thomson Douglas & Co (now Grant Thornton) simultaneously beginning a part-time accounting degree at UNSW, he completed the degree in 1990. The ICAA Professional Year program was completed in 1995. Before joining Jacoby Cameron & Co in October 1993, Grant had

worked for a number of accounting firms as well as being Group Accountant for Tankstream Brewing Company and financial accountant for Weldons. Became a partner at Jacoby Cameron & Co in July 2001.

Areas of specialisation include audit, assurance, management accounting and strategic planning.

Grant is a keen follower of motorsport, a member of the Art Gallery Society and regularly attends the theatre.

 

James Dolahenty

James Dolahenty

James became a partner at Jacoby Cameron and Co. in July 2009. James began working in the accounting profession in 1998. He has primarily been involved in small to medium enterprises. This has provided James with a diverse experience in accounting, audit and taxation matters for a range of clients from multi-nationals, sole traders to not-

for-profit organisations. Since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2006.

In addition, James is sharing his practical experiences tutoring accountancy students at Macquarie University.

Outside of work James has taken a leadership role in the administration of Soccer in his local district. In addition, James also referees several games each weekend during the season.

 

Bernard Jacoby

Commenced as a sole practitioner in March 1966. Bernie having retired as a Partner on 1 July 1995 continues his association with the firm as a Consultant.

 

Philip Bower

Having retired as Partner in 2008, Philip continues his association with Jacoby Cameron & Co as a consultant.

Joined the firm in 1974. Accepted the invitation from Bernie and Peter and became a partner in July 1982. Philip is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Over the last 25 years Philip has been involved in most facets of accounting and tax issues. Philip is also a Fellow of the Tax Institute of Australia.

Despite retiring from active participation (after a 27 year playing career) Philip maintains an active interest in Cricket, as well as other sports.

The partners and consultants of Jacoby Cameron & Co are backed by a dedicated and well-trained team. The professional staff ranges in experience from fully qualified accountants to undergraduates studying for their degrees. There are also friendly and efficient support staff. Together this team strives to provide high quality financial services and support to the clients of Jacoby Cameron & Co.
