Michael Parker Became a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1977. Commenced employment with Jacoby Cameron & Co. in 1984, having previously been employed as an audit manager at Hungerfords KMG (Now a part of KPMG). In July 1986, accepted an invitation to become a partner of the firm. Since that time has been involved with many of the firm's audits as well as the introduction of new taxes such as CGT, FBT, GST and changes to Superannuation legislation. With the three children now in their twenties there is more time to devote to both competitive and pleasure sailing. Michael is a member of the Rotary Club of Sydney. Philip Bower Joined the firm in 1974. Accepted the invitation from Bernie and Peter and became a partner in July 1982. Philip is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Over the last 25 years Philip has been involved in most facets of accounting and tax issues. Philip is also a Fellow of the Tax Institute of Australia. Despite retiring from active participation (after a 27 year playing career) Philip maintains an active interest in Cricket, as well as other sports. Grant Thomson Commenced employment as an accountant in 1984 with Thomson Douglas & Co (now Grant Thornton) simultaneously beginning a part-time accounting degree at UNSW, he completed the degree in 1990. The ICAA Professional Year program was completed in 1995. Before joining Jacoby Cameron & Co in October 1993, Grant had worked for a number of accounting firms as well as being Group Accountant for Tankstream Brewing Company and financial accountant for Weldons. Became a partner at Jacoby Cameron & Co in July 2001. Areas of specialisation include audit, assurance, management accounting and strategic planning. Grant is a keen follower of motorsport, a member of the Art Gallery Society and regularly attends the theatre. Bernard Jacoby commenced as a sole practitioner in March 1966. Bernie having retired as a Partner on 1 July 1995 continues his association with the firm as a Consultant. Peter Cameron joined Bernie in 1970 and the partnership was formed on 1 July 1971 and operated with five employees. Peter retired as a partner on 1 July 2000. He continues his association with the firm as a Consultant. Peter ia also an accredited Quality Control Reviewer for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. The partners and consultants of Jacoby Cameron & Co are backed by a dedicated and well-trained team. The professional staff ranges in experience from fully qualified accountants to undergraduates studying for their degrees. There are also friendly and efficient support staff.
